Reduce. Re-use. Recycle.

Reduce.

The bottles we use for our SalonLab&Me products and our Care Mask jar are all produced using reprocessed plastics gathered from household, retail or salon waste. By using 100%* Post-Consumer-Recycled Plastic (PCR Plastic) our SalonLab&Me products help to reduce the amount of plastic waste.

What’s PCR Plastic?

Post-Consumer-Recycled Plastic is derived from an end-product (such as a clear water bottle) that has completed its lifecycle as a consumer item and would otherwise have been disposed of into landfill.

Re-use.

To avoid using unnecessary plastic during the shipment, we ship our products in a paper box that can be reused for storing photos or memories. Don't forget, our shampoo and conditioner bottles can also be re-used, re-filled and re-purposed for dispensing other products.

Recycle.

Once you’ve finished with your SalonLab&Me products, please remember to remove the pump and rinse out any residue before recycling the bottle. Clean plastics help to make the recycling process more efficient!

Did you know?

  1. Plastic consumption has quadrupled over the past 30 years
  2. Global plastics production doubled from 2000 to 2019
  3. Plastics account for 3.4% of global greenhouse gas emissions
  4. It’s estimated there’s 139 million tonnes of plastic waste in our seas, oceans and rivers
  5. Only 9% of plastic waste is recycled

These 5 facts about plastic from the OECD in 2022 are astounding and while there’s still so much to do to tackle this issue, we are proud our packaging helps to minimise plastic waste. We hope our clients will support us to reduce, re-use and recycle too.
